Transitional Housing

Project Rehab’s Transitional Housing offers affordable housing for men, women, and children in a supportive environment. The program is available to those who are on a residential recovery program waiting list, would benefit from an intermediate step after residential treatment, or need a supportive living environment for other reasons. Clients in the program enjoy the flexibility to work and interact with the community while benefiting from the structure and programming provided in a residential program. Most housing units are located in the Eastown neighborhood of Grand Rapids near the Project Rehab Residential Recovery Campus.

Employment Assistance

Gainful employment is a foundation for successful independent living. Developed to meet the needs of those on parole, probation, awaiting sentencing, or exiting jail or prison, our employment assistance programs include job seeking skills, career counseling, job referrals and placements, and other employment support services.

Counseling

Our staff provides counsel regarding housing options, employment concerns, budgeting, and more. In addition we offer referrals for clothing, household items, transportation, and other necessities. In addition to providing transitional housing services, Project Rehab provides those re-entering the community after incarceration with services to help them successfully integrate. Services include employment preparation and placement, counseling, life skills, and assisting with meeting basic needs.

Promoting Personal Success

Our ultimate goal is to improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities by keeping our clients on the path to success and out of jail. This goal is met by providing our clients with the opportunity to develop the skills needed for lifelong rehabilitation. Qualified staff members meet with clients 2-3 times a week and engage them in personal counseling sessions and group trainings. We help them adopt the attitudes and behaviors necessary to cope with the challenges of life–without using drugs or committing crimes.

Services

Our comprehensive approach to rehabilitation provides clients with access to a variety of services that provide the opportunity to improve their lives. Our services include: individual and group counseling, treatment of substance use disorders, vocational training, personal/relationship skill building, and health education. In addition, we help clients obtain identification, secure Michigan Bridge Cards, find transitional housing, and locate other community resources.
